And sometimes you do a story just for the headline
An 18-year-old Florida woman was only slightly injured when she was shot by her friend’s oven, police said.
Yes. An oven. She was trying to cook waffles and didn’t know her friend was storing ammunition in the oven. So we got to write this totally straightforward headline:
Woman shot by oven while trying to cook waffles

Ok that would be strangely funny, I on the other hand might check to see if there was anything in the oven needing removal. Since it wasn’t her oven you might think it would be mandatory to prevent damage to things that might have been stored there, in this case bullets.

cook waffles? didn’t have a waffle iron or a toaster? neither of which need to be in a oven to work…
Things like that are always fun to write or report on as truth is often stranger and funnier than fiction.
